Alios hadn’t travelled all that far to be honest. Ostensibly he had told the courtiers that he was only going to check on the defensive outposts near the borders of the kingdom, and they hadn’t asked many questions after that. They were quite used to his frequent disappearances, and tended to not press the issue or blab about his whereabouts so long as he completed and signed all the required paperwork. They were fantastic and Alios planned on giving all of them a raise.
