Paige mentally rehearsed her words as she walked down the stone streets of Dwarvenhome with Claire and Golhura toward the Hall of Council.
How in the First Father’s name am I going to manage to convince everyone that we have an entirely new threat facing us?
Her stomach fluttered. Dwarves were both practical and naturally suspicious creatures, who tended to only believe the evidence of their own eyes. Her wild tale of the Unnamed Lord, Focalor, and an army of demons from another world was bound to make most of them skeptical, even with Claire to corroborate her words.
She had arrived in Dwarvenhome only to learn that a clan meeting was already in session, which suited her needs perfectly, but left her little time to prepare.
