Chapter Thirty-Six Origin Barlo looked out from Felara’s eyes at the emptiness surrounding them. Iarion walked at their side across the sprawling barren plain. Short, brown grass crunched faintly beneath their feet. The mountain range that marked the edge of the Khashada’s territory lay to the south. A second mountain range lay to the northeast. The sky overhead was still obscured by the swirling fog. Barlo could not say how long they had been walking. Time seemed to have no meaning in this place.
