Chapter Ten Rumor Has It Lodariel shifted from one foot to the other as she leaned against her spear. Arinwyn sat cross legged on the grass a few feet away. The wingless Sky Elf’s eyes were closed. An errant breeze ruffled her crest of white hair. Nasir sat with his back against the side of a hill nearby. He seemed outwardly calm, but his curved sword lay across his knees and his hazel eyes were fixed on Arinwyn. “We should be doing something,” Malarin muttered in her rumbling voice. She was sitting on her haunches, her large wings tucked in at her sides. Lodariel agreed with her. Neither of them were made for waiting.
