Chapter 8: The Chamber

866 Words
THE next day, Prince Zale allowed us to get our powerful creatures in the inner chambers, to train with us. WHAT a changing mind this man has, what kind of different personalities he was showing to all of us! I can’t determine his next step! I grumbled while going outside my domatio. “DID you hear what Prince Zale announced a while ago?” I said when Elena and I are walking towards the inner chamber—the place where our powerful creatures have been hidden. She smiled as soon as she saw the excitement on my face. “I guess we still need to know all the details regarding his majesty.” I winked at her, imitating her, making her laughed. But afterwards, Elena shrugged her shoulders as her answer to my words. “UNTIL when are we gonna get there?” It became darker and darker as we pass through the cave that is filled with ice just to pass through the inner chamber. Now it make sense to me why is it called the inner chamber... I hid my smile. No one answered my question, not even the servant. Hahhh... I sighed to their response which is silence. All of us hold our lamps in our hands, while we endure the temperature of the cave. Little by little, I have adapted the coldness in the palace, that’s how my body adjusted into the place of ice. “We are now here.” The servant said, not too long after I asked that question. He is the one who used to be our guide even from the start. "Thank you!!!" We all said to him when we reached the chamber. I was so excited to see Eureka again, to see how well he has grown at that time. When the servant opened the door, I covered my eyes with the sunlight that came through all of us. I was stunned for what I have seen. The inner chamber they were pertaining to was a place connected to Mt. Evlogia. It was one of the forests in Mt. Evlogia. It was outside the castle. HOW can it be?! There was a barrier that covers the place, making it look like a chamber itself. Though it was a part of Mt. Evlogia. I smiled for these simple things. I was glad that Eureka was not in the place inside the palace where the setting was full of ice. He was in a place where he used to live—the forest. I looked around, admiring the chamber we had been, the mountain where I used to tend my sheep. And there at the middle, stood a man that captured my thoughts. THE man wears black cloth just like of a ninja, but his head is not covered. His hair is white but it was not too long as his Majesty’s hair. It was the usual cut of men in our town. But his eyes… They looked somewhat familiar. “You give honor to the Crown Prince!” Said the servant to all of us. The Crown Prince?! I was stunned. We all bowed down in front of him. WHY is the clothes of his majesty the same with that man in the forest… And his eyes, they were the same as well… Don’t tell me?! My eyes widened in fear. “Continue bowing down to the Crown Prince of this Land, give honor to him!“ The servant said. I bowed myself lower to the ground when the servant noticed that I was startled with my thoughts. “As you have seen, I did not neglect your beloved creatures, all of them have grown into full characters, making them even more powerful. I have not neglected them, though some of you thought that I have.” He intentionally looked at me, and I looked around me to see if they are looking at me as well. And they are. I bowed my head out of shame. What is he doing… is he taking revenge on me for what I did to him years ago?! I grumbled inside. “You will use your powerful creatures inside Mt. Evlogia to capture ones that can be useful for the castle—you’ll capture powerful creatures again. The more that you capture a creature, the more honor will be bestowed to you, as one of my special warriors.” Prince Zale said. I smiled with that idea but I raised my hand for a question, “Forgive my impudence, your Majesty. But, may I ask a question?” Prince Zale stared at me like he was looking at my thoughts and all. I bowed my head to the ground. “Yes, you may.” I heard him say. “What will you do to the powerful creatures that we will capture?” I asked while not looking at him. “I never thought that you are that clever. But those powerful creatures will be trained in order to be prepared with the upcoming battle that would happen in the kingdom.” Prince Zale answered. Battle? Inside the kingdom? Who would dare?! I fell into deep thinking with what he said.
