Delusional Love

Chapter 3

The corridor of the science lab was quiet. I could only hear the clicking of my scandal against the ceramic floor. I was looking for the exit but it's like I'm walking in circles.

I turned and found a door slightly open. It's weird because all the other doors are locked. Maybe it's the exit. I rushed towards the door with joy because finally I found an exit.

I pushed the door open. I stopped in my tracks as chills ran down my spine. In front of me was myself sitting on the table backing the open window. My eyes instantly swelled with tears as if I knew what was going to happen.

The other me was on a video call, smiling and talking to someone on the phone. I accidentally knocked down a beaker which was on the table but he didn't even flinch at the sound.

It seemed as if my voice was caught in my throat. “Tempest Get down. Please, it's not safe!” I yelled but there was no response. I didn't realize I was already moving towards him until a Shadow walked past me and headed straight towards tempest.

I stopped in my tracks thinking he was going to help my other self but I immediately saw the color drain on Tempest's face. He slowly dropped the phone down. His lips moved but I couldn't hear what he was telling the other person.

I wanted to say something but my lips won't move. the next second I watched as the shadow lifts up his leg and kicked tempest out of the window. I stared as tempest lost his balance and fell out of the window.

THUD!

was the only sound I heard. “Nooooo….!” I yelled as I ran towards the window but the scene in front of me almost made me puke.

Down there Tempest lay in the snow paint with the crimson color of his blood. Tears ran down my cheeks. I couldn't hold them any longer. The shadow behind me moved quickly as he also pushed me out of the window….

“Noooo……. please no……!” I screamed as I jolt up the bed. My breathing was ragged, taking deep breaths. I placed my hand on my chest as my heart stings. I looked around and realized I was alone and drenched in my own sweat.

I stood up and rushed towards the bathroom as I splashed water on my face. “It was dream but it's also reality. No, the old Tempest is dead but not met.” I tried to convince myself as I stared at my reflection.

I walked out of the bathroom after a quick shower. I clicked my fingers and soon enough my uniform appeared floating in front of me.

The stared at the uniform and felt a sense of familiarity. Tears welled again at the corner of my eyes but I pushed them away. Enough of crying, Time to get into action.

I flicked my fingers again and soon enough I was dressed completely in the white and grey uniform of Lunethrone academy.

I walked down stairs, hoping to find something to eat but the fridge was empty. “Damnit! I forgot to buy the groceries.” I cursed out. I turned to order when the door bell rang. I looked at the time and it was 8:43

I wonder who it was. I don't usually have people visiting at this time. the door bell continued to ring nonstop as if the person refused to go. I walked towards the door and peaked through the small hole but no one was there. Strange, just a few minutes ago someone was ringing the bell nonstop.

I was about to step back when someone tapped me, scaring the hell out of me. “Ahhhhhhh!” I screamed as I grabbed the nearest object next to me to defend myself. “take it easy it's me” Kelvin joked as I saw his face. “what the hell is wrong with you? are you mad?” I yelled.

“I'm sorry. I didn't mean to scare you.” he apologized. “what are you doing here?” I asked still holding the weapon.

“can you put that down first, Never knew you had quick reflexes.” he said. “I don't enjoy repeating myself” I warned.

Kelvin raised his hands as if he was being apprehended by the police. “I came to pick you up for class. class starts by nine and it's already 8:50. do you want to get a disciplinary letter?” Kelvin asked as he stared at this watch.

“I will go by myself no need to pretend.” I said as I walked past him to get my bag from the counter of the kitchen but Kelvin beat me to it as he held my bag close to his chest.

“you can't just touch other people's stuff” I said as I tried to grab the bag from him but he was already circling the couch. “come and get it. I mean you always enjoyed it when I took your stuff.”

This word made my heart pang with hurt. “Stop sprouting nonsense and give me my bag. didn't you say we're already late.” I said as I ran after him. “never knew you had a sharp tongue.” Kelvin joked as he circled the couch again.

I was already tired of going after him in circles. I flicked my fingers, Then a small bench appeared from nowhere making Kelvin trip over it. I rushed towards him and held on to the bag trying to yank it loose from but Kelvin had other plans. He pulled me with him as he fell making two of us fall. I shut my eyes expecting a loud thud but all I heard was murmurs and whispers coming from a crowdy place.

Strange, How can there be noise at my house. “Get a room, Jerks!” A loud voice called out making me snap my eyes open and surprisingly I was in a class at the academy.

Interesting, Kelvin's power is teleportation. I immediately felt embarrassed and tried to get up but Kelvin fasten his hands around my waist making it difficult for me.

“Hey, cut it out!” I warned but he was grinning from ear to ear. “Never knew you felt this soft.” he teaseda s he fastened his hold making me uncomfortable.

“It's not funny!” I yelled as I used all my strength to break free from him as he laid on the ground laughing. students didn't even pay mind to use as they continue their business.

“look, I think it's high time you stop jokes like this it's not funny.” I said, not noticing the nervousness in my voice.

“I'm sorry but you can tell me that after you answer to Mrs Lilian.” Kelvin said as he dust himself. “Mrs Lilian, who's that?” I wondered but instantly remembered that I have a class by 9 sharp.

“you're gonna pay for this!” I growled as I ran out of the class heading straight for the second floor. I rounded a corner and immediately regretted it. I slammed against someone making me loose my balance and fall.

I quickly picked my bag and apologized as I continued my race to class without looking at the person. it's my second day at school and it's already bad luck.

I hope today will go well because since I stepped foot in Lunethrone academy, It's nothing but trouble.
