Ren
I had known something was awaiting us at the bottom of the Blood cliffs but I could never believe we would have found her.
"Ivy," My attention snapped back to our little angel. Her name was Ivy. Her eyes seemed to be unfocused, she wasn't looking at anyone in particular.
"Miss? Can you please try to stay awake?" The doctor asked Ivy. She didn't answer, her eyes kept closing for longer and longer amounts of time. She was going back to sleep. Ivy's hand tightened on mine for a second before she lost her grip. Even in her disorientated state, she looked perfect. As she slowly fell back asleep, the heart monitor beside her stopped screaming. Her waking, even for the briefest of moments, gave me so much hope. Hope that she will live. I knew that if she died, none of us would be the same, we would be nothing but empty shells of ourselves.
"Please call for us again if she wakes, but she does seem to be healing well," The doctor bowed his head and left the room.
"Did you hear that," I whispered to Ivy, "You will be okay," I was both reassuring her and myself, we needed her to be okay, needed her to fight for herself, to live. I didn't leave her side, nor did Evan. James had to go, he'd be back in an hour or two. I turned Ivy's hand over, drawing small spirals and patterns on her tiny delacet hand. Me and Evan spent our time waiting for James t return, whispering sweet nothings to her. We told her how beautiful she is, how we will always be here for her no matter what, and how she would be given the happiest life we could possibly give her. I loved the feeling of tingles and sparks that spread beneath my skin in every place I touched her. My phone vibrated in my pocket.
Troy - Hey dude, Coach wanted to know if any of you guys would be at training this afternoon.
Me - Sorry no.
I shut off my phone. I looked back to where Ivy slept.

I looked up from my school work and at Ivy for the tenth time this minute. She was just so damn perfect! I sighed and looked back at my laptop. The page was blank except for the title: Ren Hemway. I don't get why we have to write an essay on who and what we are and one important event in our life. I mean everyone at school knows me, James and Evan. I glanced back at Ivy, only for my eyes to lock with the most beautiful green eyes I had ever seen. Instantly my breath left me. The bright green and flecks of brown of her eyes were so perfectly beautiful, just like the rest of her. I stood from my spot on the couch, leaving my laptop behind, and rushed to her side. This drew the attention of the other two and soon the three of us stood around her. James reached over and pressed the small staff help button before taking ahold of her hand. Evan held her other hand and I cupped her face.
"You're awake," I whispered, not knowing what else to say. What does one say to the hottest girl in the universe? She made a soft humming noise, in acknowledgment of my comment. The doctor rushed into the room tailed closely by two nurses. The other two stepped away from Ivy when one of the nurses asked them to, but I didn't. I couldn't bring myself to step away from her. One of Ivy's hands shot up and held onto my arm when I was again asked to move away.
"Work around him," Evan instructed, seeing Ivy's attempt to keep me nearby. I held Ivy's gaze as she flinched and whimpered. I dont think she knew she was whimpering, but it took all my strength not to attack the doctor and nurses from hurting her. Her hold on my arm tightened ever so slightly with every whimper that left her. Done with their examination, the nurses wrote something on a clipboard, then they left the room.
"She seems to be fine. If her state changes, then please let me know." With a bow of his head, the doctor also left the room. God I hate the doctors here. We should get Ivy transferred to a better hospital. Ivy let go of my arm the moment we were alone in the room. Well, alone being Ivy, me, James and Evan. Again, Evan took ahold of her left hand and James held her right one. I sat on the edge of the bed, her face still nuzzled into my hand.
"Hello," Her voice, though it croaked from her throat and shook, it was like a sweet melody to hear. I grabbed the bed's remote and adjusted it so that she was sitting. James lifted a glass of water to her lips and she drank about half of it before she pulled back slightly and James placed the cup back on the nearby table. "Thank you,"
