Ben’s POV Greg came back downstairs with the laptops tucked under his arm, his heavy footsteps thudding against the hardwood stairs. He had a fierce, unblinking determination in his hazel eyes. He dumped my laptop and his own sticker-covered machine onto the dining table. We pulled out chairs, set up our power cables, and got cracking. I booted up my laptop, rubbing my exhausted eyes as the adrenaline began to curdle into a dull ache. "This could take a while, girls," I called out softly to Mari and Tiana, who were huddled on the living room sofa like two terrified teenagers. "Why don't you try and get some rest?"
