Kyle’s POV We drove in silence, though it wasn’t uncomfortable. I glanced at Cleo, staring out of the window as she twiddled her braids. She was striking; the curve of her jaw and the glow of her skin against the leopard-print dress made it almost unfair. I was falling for her, hard. Yet, a cold knot of dread sat in my stomach.
