I watched him walk away in tears. Surely, he didn't mean anything he said. It had to be a lie and I chose not to take his words for it.
I shook with sobs, suddenly losing the will to continue the book I was reading. Pushing my seat back, I picked my book and tossed the content of my cup onto the grass before retiring to go back to my room.
I remained in bed, sobbing softly and wondering what I had done to deserve any of this. Just when things were going fine, Leo had come into the scene, destroying the bond we were already starting to build up.
