Mika’s POV
“Here we are, the best restaurant I know of,” I said with forced enthusiasm.
Jasper looked around with a foreign expression on his face. “What is it?” I asked.
“You don’t like the place? I can show you somewhere else.” I said hastily, hoping I didn’t upset him.
“No, it’s okay. I was just wondering, do you come here often enough?” He asked. I stared at him dumbly, not knowing how to respond since I didn’t know where the conversation was leading.
“Ahh... I guess so.”
He took a deep breath, “It is okay but it wasn’t what I expected when you told me you will show me somewhere else to hang out and eat.”
