“Wait, before that, are you in town or out of town?” I asked.
“I'm in town, why do you ask?” Ken asked through the phone.
“No legit reason but anyways that's good, It means you can do something about the situation. I called Chloe’s line a while ago and guess who picked it?”
“My mom?” he guessed, that was odd. Did he just say “my” mom instead of “our” mom? I thought but brushed it off. It must be a slip of a tongue.
“No, it wasn't you guys mother, it was someone else, a guy.”

“Who is it? Anyone that I know? Is he from school?” he asked. My heart swelled. The concern I heard from his voice told me that I made an excellent choice by calling him.
