The shaman's tent was very... shaman-like. Scarlett had no other way to describe it. She could smell spices, lots of them, from just a mile away. There was also the smell of burning smoke, and perhaps, dead rats, too.
Scarlett thought it was strange. There were buildings everywhere in the village. But the shaman chose a tent to live in. The outer part looked similar to the tents Scarlett and Trey slept in at the oasis. But the inside... was very different.
The shaman did not have any bed, only piles, and piles of soft branches at one side of the tent. In the middle of the tent was a small desk with two burning incenses on a small black plate. There were papers and a brush for writing. On the right corner of the tent, was a group of pots. The smell of dead rats came from that corner.
