886 Words
The news shocked Thompson; he knew this situation was getting out of hand. What do you want to say about this young lady? the D.P.O asked. I have nothing to say; I am a living witness, Natasha replied. The D.P.O looked at Natasha with cold eyes, then faced the other officer who brought the information. Call Elena Gilbert, tell her she is needed at the station. Okay, sir. The officer picked up the office phone, copied Elena's phone number from a book, then dialed the number. After two missed calls, she finally picked up. Hello, good morning. Good morning, Elena replied through the phone. I am speaking with Elena Gilbert. Yes, and who are you? I am Officer Lucien, and your custody is needed at the station right away. What happened? We found your bodyguard dead in an incomplete building, and the suspect is Morgan, who is in detention right now. There is an eyewitness who said she was kidnapped by those men who killed your bodyguard. Okay, I am coming right away. Elena, hang up the phone. She moved slowly to her bathing room. Kidnapped? What really is happening? She went back, sat down on her bed, then stood up, looking out the window. Bodyguard shot dead by Morgan Morris. She took her phone and watched social media as the news was trending. "Billionaire falling has finally killed Elena Gilbert's bodyguard out of anger and jealousy." She dropped her phone on the bed. What really is happening? Looking so confused. They are hiding things from me. Yes, I said it. He should look for Natasha before Morgan sees her. I didn't even know she was kidnapped by them. It would be them, and they killed the bodyguard. She looked at the mirror. This is fake, but she can't defend Morgan. She stood up from her bed again for the third time and went to the bathroom to take her bath and brush her teeth. Back at the police station. Ethan Morris and Erikson Morris arrived at the station. They were directed to the D.P.O.'s office. Natasha, seeing them in the office, she had to excuse them. "Please, sir, I want to see him," Natasha requested. "Follow the officer; let him direct you where he is." "Okay, sir." Natasha followed the officer as she was passing; her eyes mistakenly met Erikson's eyes, whose face was scary to look at. As she left the office, she met Moscow, who was just coming. "Where is he?" Moscow asked. "I just want to meet him." Moscow joined them as they went to meet Morgan. They sat down in the visitor's chair, waiting for Morgan to be brought out. The officer went inside the office, seeing Morgan sitting down on the floor, while another prisoner wanted to control him. "Hey boy, you have visitors," the leader of the gang in the prison told him as he went to hit him in his back. Morgan stood up, looking at the officer, as the cell gate was opened. The officer quickly chained his two hands and directed him to the visitor's room. Natasha, tears came down her eyes seeing a mighty business man who was about to lose everything in just a week, empire built over years. Moscow looked at him with pain and happiness in his eyes. The pain was that his boss couldn't be dressed like a criminal, while his happiness was that he had always warned him he should leave Natasha and follow Elena. Morgan sat down on the chair as he looked at them. There was silence for some seconds. I didn't do it. You all should stop looking at me like that. I know you didn't do it. You can't do it because I saw when the victim was shot, Natasha said with tears in her eyes. Have you told the officers? Yes, but they don't believe me, and they said that Elena Gilbert's bodyguard was the one shot dead. The news shocked both Morgan and Moscow. What did you just say? Moscow asked. That is the truth. Morgan was a little confused, wondering if it was not Elena who attacked him and her bodyguard was also shot. Who is behind all this? I need you to do something for me," he said, looking at Morgan with desperate eyes. "What do you want me to do?" "Investigate this issue." "What about business?" "I need to leave here first before talking about business." "Okay, sir." "Time's up," the Ten Officer in Charge said as he took Morgan away. Moscow and Natasha left the place without saying anything to each other or even asking questions. Back at Elena's house, Elena was about to leave for the station as she forgot something at the back of the compound. She overheard David and Gabriel discussing. She was surprised. She never knew David was at their home. She went to eavesdrop. After overhearing them… Elena accidentally stepped backward and hit a rod lying on the floor. Gabriel suddenly stopped talking. Silence. Then he continued. "Who is there?" Gabriel asked coldly. Elena quickly hid behind the car that was parked, breathing heavily. David walks toward the front yard slowly. Elena covers her mouth, breathing heavily. Then she hears Gabriel say: “If Elena finds out the truth about Natasha, everything will collapse.”
