Chapter Four: The Meeting

935 Words
Morgan Morris picked up his phone as he watched the video again. Natasha was crying, and her makeup was ruined. She was tied in a chair inside a dark room, not too dark. Morgan paused the video as he zoomed in on the picture, trying to determine if the room was inside the building. The room was not well furnished, which meant she had been taken away from the hall. Morgan went inside the building as he searched for Moscow. "There you are," Morgan said as he saw Moscow coming from the other side. Some of the guests were already leaving by then. "Morgan, you are actually needed in the boardroom." It had been a while since he called him by his name. Morgan ignored what he heard and continued the question he was about to ask him. He showed Moscow the video, which Moscow did not show much interest in watching. "Did you know this place?” Your company is going down, investors are redrawing, the stock is falling, and the best thing you can do is show me a video, even though I knew where she was, I wouldn't tell you. Moscow said with a frustrated voice filled with pain and anger. Look at me. Morgan tapped his shoulder and looked into his eyes, trying to console him. You are my P.A. and my best friend. I understand that you are very frustrated right now. I can feel it; me too, I am also frustrated right now, but we can share this without anyone being angry or left out. He paused for a second, took a deep breath, and continued. I am going to look for her, and nothing will happen to her. While you are going to look at the company, nothing will happen in the company. Moscow left without saying a word. Thanks for understanding me. Morgan turned as he went to show the security guards the video. Please, do you know the place? One of the guards looked at the video again, watching it at least three times. Where is it? Morgan asked in an urge. The guards were looking themselves, Morgan whose spirits were high was ready to do anything at that particular moment just for them to show him where the building was. I will pay you guys a lot of money. 'The guards were looking at themselves. Morgan, whose spirits were high, was ready to do anything at that particular moment just for them to show him where the building was. I will pay you guys a lot of money. The guards smiled as one of them led him to the place. While at the boardroom, Moscow walked in and sat down in Morgan's seat. What are you doing here? Does this place look like where a low-profile man sits? Elena mocked him. For your information, madam, I am not a low-profile man, so I don't care whatever you say, Moscow replied. We called this important meeting because we were cheated, and that is not allowed. How can someone who is not in the top five win the award? We must stop it this year. The first one on the stock market is supposed to be the winner of the award. How come it changed overnight? Moscow added. Is that the reason for this meeting? Elena asked as she stood up on her feet. Sit down! Thompson shouted as he also stood up. You can't control me, old man. You can't tell me what to do. I am no kid. Elena challenged back. Elena knew this was the perfect time to break Morgan completely, as he was becoming emotionally weak. "Please end the fighting," one of the investors said as he tried to calm both of them. "We need to take this case to court. We have a lawsuit," Moscow said. "That's a great idea," he just blurted out now. "When you know you are going to lose, what's the point of going to court?" Elena replied. "Then leave the case to us," Thompson said. Elena brought out her phone and showed them. "Read this message." "Anyone who invests with me will take twice what Morgan is giving you, so choose wisely." She dropped David's card on the desk and left. Back at the uncompleted building, Natasha was tied up and tortured. "Please don't kill me," she screamed whenever the pain was intense. But the masked man didn't pity her. "We are not killing you; we are just torturing you. Stay away from Morgan unless you want to die like a chicken," he warned. Natasha coughed out blood, breathing heavily. One of the masked men pulled out the trigger as he was about to shoot her, but the other guy scolded him. Don't try it, have you forgotten so easily what the boss said? Just make sure she feels pains, but we should not kill her. I want to end her the way I ended her parents twenty years ago. Stop it, she is listening to what you are saying. Both of them looked at Natasha, who pretended to be asleep. Tears rolled down her cheek, mixing with blood as it fell on the ground. She held her tears; there are plenty of things she didn't even know about herself. Suddenly, there was a loud noise; both of the masked men ran away through the window. The door was opened, Morgan and the security man rushed in. He found Natasha unconscious beside a dead body. He rushed straight to hug her despite her being tied up. She whispered with tears, her voice shaking. My parents were murdered.
