Liora stormed into her grandfather’s study without knocking, her heels clicking sharply against the stone floor. Murdock looked up from the scroll he was pretending to read, irritation already tightening his jaw. “What now, girl?” Liora tossed her hair dramatically. “I met someone.” Murdock blinked. “Unless this someone is a political ally or a weapon, I don’t care.” “Oh, he’s both,” Liora purred, leaning against the desk. “He was in the village.
