838 Words
It was late at night when she left the Qiao's mansion. Mia took a long sigh of relief and stopped a taxi by the road. She went to the Yiyuan Garden. On the way, she heard a cell phone ring. She took it out of the bag and saw that it was the Wechat sent by Grace Xia. Grace was her college roommate, they were close friends. As she opened it, she saw an anthomaniac drooling emoji. Grace: Mr. Xi is so handsome! You shall be regret when you didn't come to the school this morning to participate in the anniversary celebration! Mia was speechless. Thinking that Ann was also fascinated today, and then comparing the situation her first meet with the man, it was obvious that she was calmer than them. So she replied, "Except for the anthomaniac, do you have anything important?" (a nose-picking emoji) Grace: Of course there is! Tough girl, congratulations! You'll get a first-class scholarship this semester ( flowers scattering emoji). Mia: ( An avaricious emoji) Grace: You are a little money-grubber... Mia looked at her mobile phone and smiled unconsciously, they two chatted with each other. In a moment, she had already arrived at the Yiyuan Garden. After paying the fare, Mia walked into a two-story European-style villa. This was her new house since she has been married for three months. When Mia entered the house, Mrs. Li was busy in the kitchen. When she saw Mia coming back, she quickly came out and asked, "Madam, you're back. Have you had dinner yet?" Mrs. Li was a servant from the old house of the Xi family. She was very friendly and was polite to Mia. "Yes, I have!" Mia smiled at her. The Qiao family's dinner was in the form of buffet. She ate some beef and snacks. "That's good. Mr. Xi also came back. I heard from Assistant Xu that he drank a lot of wine at the dinner. I cooked a bowl of ginseng soup and it's ready. Please bring it to him for me!" Mrs. Li said and went into the kitchen again. Mia paused for a moment and thought, "Alfred also came back?" Before she could think further, Mrs. Li had already come out of the kitchen with a tray in her hand and said, "Be careful, it's a little hot!" Mia nodded, and took the tray. Slowly she walked upstairs. Looking at her, Mrs. Li looked full of expectation. She liked this little lady very much, for Mia is beautiful and polite. Unfortunately, she had no emotional foundation with that young master. Alfred had gone to the United States for project cooperation less than a month after the two got married. He just came back yesterday and had a full schedule today. The number of times they met can be counted on fingers. Mia went to the study on the second floor. She was just about to knock, only to find that the door opened as soon as it was pushed. A faint smell of tobacco came to her face. The man in a white shirt was sitting on the leather sofa by the window, reading a document. Several buttons were untied on his chest, which made him look idle and uninhibited. "Mrs. Li has stewed soup for you. Have a try." Mia walked to him and said. This man had a powerful aura so every time she approached him, she would feel a little nervous. Alfred raised his head to glance at her. Then, he snuffed out the cigarette and reached out for the bowl of soup. Mia saw his slender and clean hand. He rolled up his sleeves and wore an expensive steel watch, which showed his charm as a businessman. Under the heat, he looked handsome, especially his nose was straight... This reminded her of William Liu, and she felt a little lucky. All of a sudden, she was a bit grateful to Alfred. Fortunately, she married him, otherwise, she couldn't imagine how her life would be. "What are you looking at?" Alfred put the empty bowl back on the tray, and he saw Mia gazing at him with fixed eyes. The man's voice was hoarse and deep. Mia smiled and blurted out without thinking, "I am refreshing my eyes!" Alfred raised his head. Under the dim yellow light, the girl dressed in a yellow floral dress had a bright complexion. Her jet-black eyes looked downward, which were pure and charming. "Is this a praise? Girls nowadays are all so flattering!" He lit a cigarette in an elegant manner and spoke in a somewhat teasing tone. Mia did not expect him to understand her words. A light blue smoke permeated in front of her eyes. She blinked, feeling hot. She said slowly, "You're the only one I've flattered!" After saying that, she looked at the pair of deep eyes. This actually required a lot of courage, because this pair of eyes seemed to be able to see through all the thoughts in her heart.
