Chapter 8 Chapter 8: A Rescue

　　The manager immediately greeted the man fearfully and apologized repeatedly: "I'm sorry, Mr. Lu, I've disturbed your banquet!"

　　It's rare that his boss set up a banquet here，but he made a mistake. He was so scared that he sweated all over his body.

　　Troy Lu, dressed in a gray suit, looks gentle and elegant. But his sharp eyes looked through Mia to Brian, and finally fell on William.

　　"I heard that Mr. Liu is looking for me!" He asked casually.

　　William shivered at his gaze and woke up completely from being drunk.

　　Everyone knew that Troy's sphere of influence had extended to both the political circles and the underworld of city B, and those who offended him ended up badly. William was just talking big, how could he know Troy was really there.

　　When Brain came out, he saw her standing there speechlessly with pale face. He could not help but ask worriedly, "Are you okay? Have you been scared just now?"

　　Mia really felt uncomfortable, but she curved her lips into a carefree smile.

　　Brian shook his head helplessly. He knew that she was so stubborn and refused to show her weakness, but it made people want to protect her more.

　　A Bentley sped out of the bar's underground garage ,and the car lights illuminated Brain and Mia who were standing on the side of the road.

　　"Look, beautiful girls always have privileges. Just now, an old man fought for her. Now, a young is caring after her!" Troy looked out of the window at this lovely couple and sighed.

　　Alfred turned his head to take a look, but he didn’t say a word.

　　"I thought I would arrange you a welcome party to celebrate you coming from abroad, but who knows it would end up like this." Troy was a little listless for finishing the party so early. However, there was no way else, because the main character here was about to leave!

　　"Fortunately, there will be another party in two days. Don't be late!"

　　"Yes, sir." Alfred rubbed between his eyebrows, indicating that Troy was a bit noisy..

　　Troy was speechless at once. Alfred just owed him a favor but wanted to kick him off now.
