Chapter 5Jesse thought he would probably have to track down Dominique in the mansion. She was pretty good at avoiding him when she didn’t want to be found. The possibility didn’t bother him. If nothing else, it would give him time to get his thoughts together. He was just about stronger than any being in the dimension, and yet, the thought of facing down that slip of a girl brought back all the old insecurities that he had thought were long since dead and buried. He supposed those feelings would never truly be gone.
