Chelsea checked her look from the reflection om the mirror. She looked dazzling.
She was astounded seeing that her servants, headed of course by the V-sisters, has managed to make her exceptionally looking as that she was seeing in the mirror.
She was wearing a red slim gown, in which it made her body curves more defined and outlined. The gown was strapless, and it was printed with shimmering glitters, causing it to become attractively-looking. Of course, this was a royal dress, thus, the long skirt was somehow bloomed in a royal way. Chelsea personally asked if it was possible if her skirt would not be overly-ballooning because it was hard for her to wear such kind of dress. Luckily, they managed to find a way, and surprisingly, it is much better looking to the princess. It suited her elegance.
Her hair was brushed up, with a silver long pin holding her messily bun-hair. Few groups of hair were purposely left hanging, to add more dimension to her hairstyle. The make-up on her face was light, suiting her suit and elegance.
“You look exceptionally beautiful, your Highness.” Venida came to her room, and commented.
“Yeah. Bet I have to say thank you, guys. You rock doing this beautiful make-over.”
Venida was flattered from the commendation of the princess, even though to be honest, she still finds the princess’ way of talking as weird and different.
“Then are you ready for the celebration?” Venida asked.
Chelsea smiled. She grabbed a light scarf and wrapped it around her neck. She was certain that it would be cold outside.
“Yeah. Let’s go now,” she answered.
As she stepped out of her room, she saw the servants who have made her beautiful for the night. She thanked each one of them.
Now right before she took her step to the stairs, she saw that at the end of the downstairs, someone was waiting for her—a dashing gentleman exceptionally attractive for the night. He was wearing an ash suit, his blonde hair was brushed up, and he was standing as if a camera was taking snaps of his pose. When the man saw the princess, he quickly fixed his standing, then bowed to her.
Chelsea chuckled and shook her head in disbelief.
“You’re hot, Nigel—I mean Prince Nigel tonight,” she said as she took her steps down to him.
“But I must have seen angel descending towards me tonight, and that is what all that matters,” Prince Nigel returned, smiling as he directly looked at the Princess.
‘This man got a way to compliment and flirt to a lady’ she thought. Yet, she continued smiling and went towards him.
Still, the prince was mesmerized from the beauty that the princess was showing for the night.
“I do not think you must show yourself to others, your highness,” said Prince Nigel out of nowhere.
Chelsea wondered. “Why?”
“With that beauty, every man in the town will fall in love to you. I must forbid that, for it will be hard to fight with more men competing for your heart.”
Chelsea then chuckled once again. “That is stupid, Prince Nigel. Though I cannot deny the fact that yes, I’m beautiful tonight,” she admitted, “and men might fall even harder to me, but then I must still show myself to the public. I am a princess, remember?”
“How come such a beautiful princess was able to live the land.”
Again, Chelsea laughed. “Seriously, Nigel, you are starting to become a creep. Enough of the compliments.”
Prince Nigel laughed as well. He bowed once again to the princess. He stood straight after, and he flexed his arm, saying the princess must cling to his arm, for he is her escort.
Chelsea willingly clung to his arms. Together, they started promenading outside of the palace.
The celebration of the First Full Moon of Spring will be held at the Chesterfield Square. Since it is a celebration dedicated to the kingdom’s festive blessings during spring, everyone was invited, and everyone was given the right to enjoy the celebration.
As Prince Nigel and Princess Demeter promenaded to the square, everyone was looking at them—with awe, surprise, and delight.
Perhaps, everyone will think how such a lovely couple they would make, if their relationship would go even further. How visionary it was to the kingdom to have both attractively-looking royalty for the Nightingale.
Perhaps, that was what Prince Nigel was also thinking. How beautiful his life would be, if he would spend the rest of it beside the beautiful princess.
But, for Chelsea a.k.a Princess Andromeda, it was hard to imagine. She tried hard, thinking that if he would marry the prince, she would have the highest possibility to become the crowned princess—that is certain, but no matter how much she imagined her life to be with him, someone kept on popping in her mind. Someone she was more than interested than the prince. Lord Matthew has been interrupting the peace of her mind lately.
“Are you still feeling lively, your Highness?” asked Prince Nigel as they promenade.
“Of course!” Chelsea answered together with a big sigh. “The celebration wasn‘t even starting, so why would I be out of energy already? We haven’t even reached the square.”
“Indeed,” Prince Nigel smiled, relieved.
Soon enough, the Prince and the Princess finally reached near the square. They haven’t even reached inside, but the soft melody of the orchestra playing at the square’s center were already dancing in the cold breeze.
The center of the celebration was in this place, thus, there were more people in the area compared to when they were promenading.
The people outside the square, enjoying each other’s company, immediately felt the presence of two noble people walking towards the square. Their attention quickly focused on the two, folding a smile on their faces.
Prince Nigel and Princess Demeter proudly walked to the path which the crowd has created for them. In return, they have showed their dazzling smiles as if they were an important celebrities—which indeed, somehow, they were.
“Ah, I almost forgot,” Prince Nigel said as they walk. He roamed his sight on the surrounding, looking for a specific thing. “There it is.”
Prince Nigel guided the princess to the thing he wanted to show. Even though Chelsea was confused, she let herself went to the flow that the prince wanted. The path made of people was voluntarily made as the royals were taking their way to a certain place near the square.
Soon, they stopped on a small store. A small cart owned by a kingdom’s commoner.
“What are we doing here, Prince Nigel?” asked Princess Demeter.
“This may be a commoner’s cart, that is why there were no elites who was bothering to take a look at the things the owner was selling. Little did they know—”
“My prince, it was my joy to see you again. I am glad your promise to me was real.” Inside the cart, there was an old woman who was selling random things found on her cart. Most of it were jewelries and accessories which surprised Princess Demeter, because all of those were beautiful.
“I have never backed down to my promises, Lady,” Prince Nigel said.
“Indeed, a Prince Nigel would never do such thing,” said the old woman.
Was it coincidence, or a wrong intuition, but did Chelsea already met the woman? It was as if this was not the first time she met the old lady, for somehow, she could feel that her presence was familiar—only that, she could not remember where or when or if she did really meet the lady.
“Very well then, I am hoping that your promise weren’t meant to fool me,” Prince Nigel said, talking to the old lady.
“Of course, Of course. How dare an old lady fool a prince? She had little time of her life, and she must not waste it anymore, isn’t it?” said the old lady while she was reaching to an old cabinet on her cart. She grabbed something from it, and then gave it to Prince Nigel with her weak, shaking hand. “Her it is, your Highness. Thank you for patronizing this old lady’s poor store.
Prince Nigel smiled as he stared at the item on his hand. Chelsea being curious, looked at the Prince’s hand. Seeing the surprising item, she gasped in shock.
“H-How beautiful,” she said.
“Indeed, it is,” answered Prince Nigel. She looked at the princess. “This is my gift for you, your Highness. Would you be fine if I wear it to you?”
“How can I reject that gift, Prince Nigel? I want that. Badly want,” answered Chelsea.
Prince Nigel beamed triumphantly. He went to the back of Princess Demeter. Somehow, he gently removed the scarf covering her neck, and instead, placed the item that he has just bought from the shop.
It was a necklace.
It has a silver, elegant chains, and its pendant was a pearl—perfectly edged to be as the shape of the crescent moon. It was a simple necklace, but once the princess wore it, the beauty of it complimented hers. The crescent moon was as if shining as if it was a moon in the sky.
It was romantically beautiful.
Everyone who saw the necklace could agree more. Everyone who witnessed how the Prince passionately wore the necklace to the princess cod say that it was a very romantic scene they could only enjoy once in their lifetime. They were happy to the two royals, and they believe that in no time, they will be couples.
However, in the group of celebrating people, one is secretly mad; secretly jealous. He held tight of the ring inside his pocket which he has planned to give to the princess once they met. However, it seemed that she would not be needing it anymore.
Pained, he walked away from the scene.
