There was something off about the woman before that I couldn't wrap my fingers about. I had to admit that she was strange in a certain way.
I stood in silence, studying her as she knelt before me. She looked as though the ground had been ripped out from beneath her feet.
Her lips parted to speak but it all ended soundlessly. Almost like she was afraid or too stunned to say whatever it was.
“Help her up." I instructed.
Two guards positioned behind the woman grabbed her arms at either side and yanked her up.
