After replacing the receiver, Alex briefs Donny of what he’s newly learned.
“Pretty damning, I’d say,” says Donny. “He claims he hardly knew the girl and we’ve now got evidence of her stripping his clothes off.”
“Let’s not get ahead of ourselves. I agree it doesn’t look good for him, but even if they had relations, it doesn’t take us any closer to showing he was responsible for her death. It’s an important start, but we’ll need much more for the fiscal to make a case.”
“Yes, I suppose.”
“I think it’s odd we’ve still not traced the valuables, you know, phones, keys, wallet, purse, handbag and whatever,” Alex says.
“Perhaps they were left along with the clothes, but some opportunist thief has made off with them,” Donny suggests.
