Ivan runs into the armed guards for a deadly clash, the guards with their axe, swords, blades and daggers burst into Ivan from all sides. Ivan constantly protecting himself from their attacks and taking a moment to attack them. He felt small, he was feeling numb by such fierce force but then there was no other choice for him so he got his nerves and ravaged the attack, slaying them one by one. The clanking of heavy metals spark in dark night with a lighting hope to free his friends. The intense fight lasted for hours with more and more guards from castle reinforcing into the battle. Ivan was tired and hurt now, few older guards want to take advantage of his fatigue, they aimed at his neck with venomous dart giving him more pain, his eyes were red now with so much of pain he had endured still fighting with fainting vision and he collapsed eventually.
“Wakey Wakey boy, it’s almost dawn, you certainly hadn’t pleasant sleep huh,” said Percy Bark, who was a young ghost, hovering around Ivan.
“Who are you?” asked Ivan with a quirky voice.
“I am Percy, people also call me ghost of the dawn, well I am the only ghost who appears during dawn unlike others. I suppose you have a mission here and it must be completed before dawn, you have got an hour before sun rises,” explained Percy.
“How do you know about my mission and why are you telling me all this?” questioned Ivan.
“I can see through human eye into their minds, that’s the answer and you must really be off to your mission now, you’re running late,” said Percy
“Certainly Percy, see you around,” said Ivan.
And then he went off the Castle gate running and keeping an eye around. Being again in Waterford running in the alleys, dark blatir house along the way made him feel anxious but he kept running and finally reached the Prison where his friends were held captive. It was still a difficult task for Ivan to get up there because of constant marching of guards below. He stays low and comprehends their marching pattern and then after decoding he swiftly went to their cell room and finds them asleep. The cell keeper was asleep too on his chair but Ivan didn’t want to give any chance so he killed the guard and took the keys and entered their cell to wake them up and take them with him.
“Wakey Wakey guys,” greeted Ivan with a smile unlocking their chains.
“Golly heavens finally you are here, Thank you for taking risk for us,” said Mr Griffiths.
“Its my duty sire, we must leave immediately, the sun’s going to rise any minute now,” said Ivan
“You’re right, I am exhausted of being in here, I shan’t live a single moment here,” cried Lenin.
Henry comforting Lenin and they left the prison cell, but it wasn’t over yet. The marching guards was the still outside and again Ivan had to decode their pattern.
“Stay low and quiet, I am trying to understand their marching pattern so we get to know exactly when to move and where in order to escape,” explained Ivan.
Everybody moved to the bushes alongside the door and Ivan who got bit forward to comprehend their style. Not a moment he took and cracked it and called his mates, they moved from pillar to pillar, bush to bush and easily made an escape.
“Come on hurry! it’s not over yet, we have to make it to the cliff,” said Ivan.
“Wait, let’s go through the market and I could buy the freshest of fish and meat,” said Henry amusingly.
“You crazy butcher!” barked Lenin dragging him to the cart.
They all settled in the cart which belonged to the Waterfordian guard and they routed for the Neghov gate.
Ivan knew they were late so he told Mr Griffiths to control the cart and he took another horse solely for himself in case any guards follow them or attacks them.
“You go ahead but speed up, I shall shield up any attack if they follow us,” said Ivan.
Rowena was waiting for quite a long on the cliff and was on the verge of losing her patience. She thought that young lad got caught and had risked others’ lives too. Not until a glimpse of their cart arriving with loud barks.
“Run – Run!’ ‘Run – Run! I want to be alive,” shouted Lenin and Henry from the cart.
She could see it all off the cliff and the guards following them. She immediately speared the wheel of one of the guard’s cart and it demolished. Ivan on his horse immediately took a strong turn as he was following the cart to stop them.
Mr Griffiths and his friends stopped the cart and begin to climb the cliff to the Neghov gate. Ivan was surrounded by the guards fighting his way out. Rowena was determined, she was striking with arrows, knocking each of the guard off their horse and cart with such precision that Ivan saluted her. Her skill clearly overpowered all of the Waterfordian guards and those alive retreated back. Some of them managed to follow the trio onto their way up to the gate. Without wasting a second Ivan took a blow off the horse and jumped off it as it reached the desired edge to climb up. He smashed the guards with back of his sword taking their breath off and saved his fellows.
“Goodness almighty my you saved us!” exclaimed Henry.
All four of them took a sigh of relief and embraced the moment of freedom by laughing, talking and hugging. Rowena who was on top was smiling with joy after this cherished victory. Truly a moment of new era with the new dawn that turned the page for a new chapter to be written with Trio and Duo altogether.
The joy was an optimistic beginning for them but Baldr had other plans who came to visit the Prison in Blatir house after the exodus of prisoners. Baldr didn’t say a word but the discomfort was clearly seen in his face. He heads to the balcony to calm his head then immediately few guards approached to apologize. Without saying a word, he removes a dagger and stabs them all and throws one of guard off the balcony. His eyes raged red in anger and swear for plaguing the Wexford.
