The Messenger

Midnight time is always inobtrusive and had always been for Wexford and Waterford. A time for tranquillity for its folks. Such was the night in Wexford after the victory celebration ended. Waterford wasn’t ready for celebrations anytime soon. But it is said that nothing can stop the chaos and it was yet to unfold in Waterford and disrupt the sleep of the dreamish. Few young girls and boys were seen in suburbs of Waterford. A guard who was on his way to reach the blatir house saw them and followed intriguingly. Soon enough they reached the suburbs in a midst of a plaza which was equivalent to Wexford’s main square but much bigger and more developed. “Why that fellow hadn’t showed up?’ asked the Janitor to his other mates who come from same region. “I apologise sire, I was late today and I expected him to depart early as always” replied the other guard. “I’m not sure where he might be, he’s very determined” said the other guard. “Stop defending him, he’ll face the consequences” uttered Janitor and sent him to his duty. Janitor immediately sent the other guards to his home to found why he hasn’t come yet. And they followed the trail to get his home. Once they arrived they found the news to be true that he already left for the work as said by his family. After learning this they left for the Blatir house. The kids were planting some stuff under Statue of Olafur from all five sides. As they were completing it, that guard named Barty Nilt shouted from a distance. “The hell are you doing here?” uttered Barty. A young lad went straight to him and pushed him back. The another joined him and then they tied him to opposite side of the statue near the pile of woods. They were free to do their stuff now and they encircled with hand on hand and uttered a ritual with hymn. Soon after the ritual completion they ignited a hay stick and put around the statue. And then left the Plaza singing aloud the Glory of Wexford. The statue was exploded into pieces. They kept entering further and further into the residential site of the Waterford with their glory songs and fire wood in their hand. Clearly a robust noise for the folks sleeping. They all were awake by now and it wasn’t late when this chaotic event fell into the Janitor’s ear. “This is our Parallel Celebration” shouted one of young girl with happiness. “Yeah! We celebrated there and we celebrated here. Our reign has begun” shouted another bloke from them. The Waterfordians were in angst, they clearly were disgusted by this incident. Especially that plaza side was abode for prestige residents from Viktyrsgard. No inhabitants dared to touch this young group and waited for guards to arrive. “There they are!” uttered Barty who was finally with guards which rescued him on the way to Plaza. Immediately kids started to run to one of the dark alleys with narrow passages. Guards quickly followed them and attack was on. Several arrows were shot at them. Still, they managed to escape due to their pace and narrowing passage. The guards dispersed to catch them effectively but the location wasn’t helping them. They entered to the old town of Waterford where situation was not similar as modern Waterford. And just like that due to lack of navigation they lost them into web of old town. The four young chaps entered an abandoned house into that town which was their dwelling place for ages. “How’s you Fernir” said Gilbert Lestock one of young boy. Fernir was an owl who acted much like a messenger. Lily Brook the young girl took one of his feathers and wrote the message and tucked in the Fernir and sent him. “She must definitely be proud of us after we achieved our goal” said Ormack Stung another young boy. Fernir flew at great heights to avoid being seen and finally reached to Rowena’s attic there she had made a passage for Fernir to enter. She reads the message “Parallel Celebration was a success”. It gladdened her heart and immediately with a smile wrote a message and tucked in and sent Fernir back. She was pleased to know that her plan for celebration was success in both the land parallelly. Baldr was so annoyed that without talking to anyone he stormed his army to the dock and boarded the ship. Alvier and Strogabot had no choice but join him. Waterford was left in complete chaos. Its folk took it to the streets and plaza was blocked completely with guards scattered all over the town. The ariel view could prove the town was in standstill at the middle of the night. What was an invaded and established territory was experiencing a protest in 1911. A similar protest Rowena initiated. “Let’s see the message” said Helen Clever. “What’s the matter, why you aren’t pleased?” questioned Helen. “It says and I read “Well done but prepare for upcoming danger” read Lily. “Surely she meant the retaliation on this act which will be conducted by Waterford very soon” replied Gilbert. ‘Yes and we prepared for anything and everything that could face us” uttered Ormack with pride. “Oh, really for everything?” questioned Helen. “Definitely something concerns her, we really must be more alert now” said Lily. In her attic she was really concerned for what she saw astronomically. “I really hope the kids will be safe and better ready for the unknown” uttered Rowena to herself. “After all those kids have always been with me without anybody’s knowledge, I have trained them all these years and sent into Waterford in disguise to stay there for our purpose” said Rowena again to herself. She felt asleep in hope that new morning would bring no bad luck for our folk and the happy faces shall always remain as bright as it was today at Parallel Celebration.
