CHAPTER 4

830 Words
DUSTIN We brought a curse directly on ourselves by taking in our dad's woman, even though she wasn't the one he later married but so far as they once dated, the curse of the moon goddess descended on us. I've never seen the moon goddess as unfair before, but I'm forced to say so here. With this curse, any other mate we would later have wouldn't stay to give us a pup, she will die. If Lucy, originally Alexia, was a werewolf like us, I would say she died from the curse. Well, no one really knows what the issue is, or whether it's just fate. We choose to keep it a secret from everyone. I shake my head to clear off this thought, each time I think of this, my wolf gets so weakened, he'd loved Lucy so much and now she's no more. Seeing Alexa, the new nanny trying to take my heart from my beloved wife and mate, I find myself slowly beginning to hate her. I initially wanted to pick some document from the drawing room but seeing Alexa, I need to return as quickly as I can to talk to my brothers. This is just a mysterious fate, why will she bear a similar name with our first mate, as well as exert a deep sense of bond with me. Something must be wrong somewhere! I rush to the living room where we sat, waiting for Alexa's arrival before I left. I know Austin really well, after waiting for a while and not seeing Alexa, she would want to come down. When he comes down and sets eyes on Alexa, there's no way he won't want her. He loves women and then he will be able to convince the rest into accepting her. I just guess I'm the one who loved Lucy more. "Heyyy guys," I call out as usual. "Alexa is here but I just caught gossiping about us with Maurin, trying to get some information about us which is strictly prohibited." I lied. This should be like a second reason to reject her, I just decide to hide my main reason. I can't let her risk her life just to serve us. She might not understand me here but sure, I know what I'm saying. It's this first before we talk of her wanting to derive information about us from Maurin, our life and our fate ought to be a secret, if I let her in, she might go on to know more than what she deserves to know, even before the right time to know it. I also have to consider this. "I've sent her away, I don't want a nanny with such personality. She might end up putting us in trouble." We need someone who's able to stick to the rules strictly. Austin, Justin and I are celebrity actor, athlete and pop idol respectively. Coming to Aaron, Baron, Cameron and Sharon, they are public figures as well who ought to avoid scandals as much as possible. Aaron is a celebrity author with millions of fans worldwide, Baron, a senator at the National Assembly, Cameron, a top model and our last born, Sharon who is a rocky cop. He looked most hot especially in his black and black uniform, always getting girls to throw themselves voluntarily at him during duty and off duty for an unwarranted arrest. With this, we needed privacy, probably why we decided to keep our personal information from foreign packs. Louise, our five year old daughter comes out of the inner room running towards us. I watch who she's going to meet among the seven of us. My heart was beating heavily, I feel like I'm in a competition with my brothers to gain Louise' attention all the time. "Daddy, who's that? My new nanny?" I gasp, pulling out a loud noise upon seeing her running up to me. It's evident, I'm her favorite dad. "Yes baby, but she's not the right person for you." I didn't know she was eavesdropping on us. Nanny talks so far have been what had driven her interest so deep. After her mom's death, we'd always hired contract nannies from local agencies to take care of her. It seemed she didn't like them enough, so this time around we decided to bring a professional nanny with years of experience. "Whyy?" She asks as she climbs on top of my laps. Justin who's sitting on the same couch with Austin reaches out to grab her hand. I pout my lips, folding my arms across my chest, turning to the back and back towards her, trying to figure out what best answer I should give her. "She talks too much!" I let my tongue slip with this, out of the hatred I've incur for her without even thinking much. I blink my eyes in curiosity as I wait for Louise' reaction to this. I feel I made a mistake, I should've said something better.
