It occurs to me that Alexia said she gave birth to them, not all births from werewolf and vampire parents end up being hybrids, some take on totally after one parent, either to be a vampire or a werewolf. This isn't even a guarantee as most hybrids are even worse, with these two nature's combined, they tend to be very rude in terms of their feeding. It pressures them into needing more blood for survival, they become more brutal.
