The next couple seemed to arrive with problems of their own. I could feel the strength drain out of me at the end of every day.
My bump was a lot more obvious now as I was well into the second trimester of my pregnancy. The gossip, if anything, seemed to have gotten worse. The servants eyes me publicly, their judgement in their gestures even as they walk past me.
