“Being transported here to this white sandy beach sure is nice…” Okay, since the joke finally felt old let's revert to back to the otherwise normal character...

If this were an anime, manga or light novel that I quite enjoy watching and reading, then this pattern should be me being sent to another world and chosen as a hero to save this world from its impending doom. That should be the norm.
“That or I could just be in my original world and simply do not know my location.” For now let’s accept it as either of these two assumptions so that I can reclaim my sanity.
In order to sate the scientific inquiry let us test the two assumptions:
First the assumption that I am still in my original world and that my currently location is just simply unknown to me. In order for me to determine that I wanted to try to locate at least a single landmark or signage that would determine it, but nothing. After all I was still alone in an otherwise empty beach.
I could move from here but for some reason my instinct tells me to stay here as if danger is lurking outside the place I am currently stationed.
So instead try the second assumption: The idea that I am in a different World.
To get to that let's trace where the anomaly might have occurred from that dream like state: Falling asleep in bed after having finished recording all the necessary data in my class record, this is the normal part. After that going in a state of lucid dreaming then got hit by a ship, twice… seem about right.
Then nothing... if it were the template, then god would have appeared and tells me I was summoned because of some mistake or that there is a need for a hero or I could also be sent in a room where an elderly king or sage would say "Oh, great hero please save us from the demon lord"... (Frankly speaking a beautiful princess over an elderly king is quite preferable.)
But nothing of those sorts, instead I stood in a white sandy beach all alone, which is pretty beautiful by the way and would have loved to explore it if not for this current predicament.
Since the oddities seem to be too full blown and nothing seem to be moving to answer it, let's check another aspect to determine the current situation. In most anime, manga or light novel I have watched and read, the main characters always have something to determine his status or power that would differentiate them from the other characters.
Focusing, I tried to summon what normally is preset in this kind of development a magical/high-tech AR window that would allow the MCs to determine their status… but nothing.
“Maybe it works with oral command, Appraisal!” I even stretched my hands dramatically to show my strong emotion in summoning the status screen and still nothing.
I wonder if this place is still the previous world and just in another continent or simply outside my own country, thinking like that, an awkward sweat drops in my temple as I thought how embarrassing it was trying to summon that non-existent AR.
You can’t summon what is not there so I decided to drop the embarrassing act of getting that Status Screen and instead look for something physical to determine the validity of my either assumptions if I am indeed summoned to another world, there should at least be some weapons or powerful artifact that would aide my quest.
I did not have to look far yet, instead I drop my eyes to my body… right, I learned this from one of my college psychology professor that the first rule when stranded in a deserted island or anywhere else for that matter: Check yourself for whatever you have with which maybe of used in dire situations.
Checking my current gear, I am wearing the white T-shirt, black jeans and the underwear underneath it that I had worn when I went to sleep. Fortunately in that small country, most of people do not have wear to pajamas while going to sleep. Had I slept wearing pajamas instead, I would have become the first summoned person to have been summoned in another world in his pajamas.
Think: “Summoned in another world with my pajamas.” The idea fits the category, but thinking that it would be me was too much for my adult mind and so happily thanked that I was wearing my white T-shirt and black pants sleeping.
Incidentally, while I was barefooted when I slept I was now wearing my black leather shoes. It would seem that the shoes were magically worn when I got transported to wherever this place would be. After all, I don’t have a habit of sleeping while my socks and shoes on, mind you… I am not that eccentric.
After fiddling the items I was wearing and come to the conclusion that they were not magical and would only be useful to ward of insects or the mild draft air, I decided to look a bit farther.
Next would be my immediate surroundings, there was however nothing there, if my shoes were magically worn when I was transported, I could have gotten the laptop or the phone which I was using for work last night… and yet the two items where nowhere near the vicinity.
Think: “Summoned in another world with my Laptop.” The idea has merits. It would be nice to have all my research material or my prized anime collection to be here. However, the laptop was nowhere to be found, so I dejectedly dismissed the longing.
Since there was nothing on me or on my immediate vicinity that I might be able to use as a deciding factor, I decided to stretch my view farther.
Since I am a right handed person using the general rule I decided to check my left side first and saw a thick forest, while it would be a nice place to look for food. Unfortunately, since I have no idea what to expect in this forest while I was still in a defenseless state I decided to left the forest for now to the open sea towards my right, while i shifted my eyes on the open sea something caught my attention… it was a ship, looking at it intently, it was strangely familiar.
“That ship… where have I… Ahhhh!” right this was the ship, the one that had bumped my head, twice. Maybe I could get a word or two with its captain for having almost killed me.
While thinking that, the assumption of me being still in a different location in my original world was slowly getting outweighed to being transported to another world. I still need a few more evidence to write the former off.
Thinking that, I decided to close in on the aforementioned ship.
Thankfully the area where the ship was currently docked was in the corner of a rock formation that could be considered natural dike which should be easy even for me to access the deck without having to use ladders.
Now that I was close to it, for some reason this sensation of longing is somewhat familiar to me, and I am not thinking about the fact that it had bumped my head twice either.
That longing prompted me to touch the ship as if touching a dear friend you have not seen for a long time. The ship was made of polished wood and yet strangely enough, I feel that it was not just any normal wood.
While feeling the smooth wooden body of the ship, it finally gave me the last clue that determined that I was indeed in another world.
The clue was definitive as the magical/high-tech window that I wanted to see so much a while ago opens up in front of me. It read:

Although I have this strange inkling that it was asking to be named, since I was not sure if I have the right to, I answered by clicking on the ‘no’ icon.

Looking at the information presented in the magical/hi-tech augmented reality screen, I could feel that the ship is somewhat a gold mine to anyone who owns it. “Now one can only wonder. Who owns the ship?”
