Chapter 8

793 Words
Kate's POV I sit next to David and check my phone to see it's past 9 pm. I wonder where Dallas and Alysa is, they left since 2 and they're not back yet. I begin to have a bad feeling. I call her phone for the umpteenth time and she's not answering. I think of what to do then I hear the heart monitor start beeping. I rush to call the doctor. Fortunately, they said he's stable now, they take off the oxygen mask as he can now breathe normally. The doctors leave and Tyler walks in. “Your dad's stable now” I tell him and he smiles “that's good news” he says, “I'm worried about Dallas” “don't worry mom, she's a strong girl, she'll be fine. I'll go look for her and in the meantime get something to eat” “I will, just be safe”. I watch him leave and hope that everything is fine even though I keep having the feeling that something is wrong. Tyler's POV As I go down the elevator, my mind keeps racing to where Dallas is, this isn't normal. I decide to check a few places around the hospital. First place that comes to my mind is the park. I get out of my car and look around the park, everywhere is too quiet. I start to feel chills all over my body. With the help of the lights, I look for footmarks or anything that can link to Dallas and Lysa. I follow the foot trail and find Dallas phone on the ground. “Something's definitely wrong” I tell myself. I begin to search the park but stop when I hear low voices. I try to listen but it's hard. I hurry back to my car and zoom off. I make a quick stop at a restaurant to get food for mom cause I know she won't leave dad's side. I get back to the hospital and give her the food and without wasting any time, I leave. I go to town to try and make some reports to figure out something. Alysa's POV I struggle to open my eyes as I feel a throbbing pain in my head. I open my eyes to find myself lying down on grass. I get up slowly but stagger to the ground. I hiss as the pain increases, I feel like I have a concussion. I look around and I don't seem to notice where I am. I manage to get up slowly and try to walk straight. I move away from where I was though I don't know where I'm going and I try to recall everything. I realize I'm in the park but the part people don't really go to. Then my mind clicks and I remember everything. I heard strange noises and decided to check it out without informing Dallas, then I felt something hit me hard on my head before I fell to the ground. I start to head home wondering about Dallas. * * * * I shiver and open my eyes as I feel water been poured all over me. I blink my eyes open and look around. I see myself in a dark windowless room with a huge metal door. I look up to see my hands chained above my head and my legs clamped in a chain connected to the floor, I'm dangling in the air. “Hey, I'm Jay” a guy says “are you hungry” he adds. I'm really hungry but I'm so not going to eat anything from here. “You thirsty” I still don't reply. He keeps throwing questions at me and I don't answer until he gets infuriated. “Then stay there and die b***h, since you're so dumb” he barks and goes out. He later comes back in with a guy that tattooed ‘anchor’ on his left arm. “Who're you” I choke out “your nemesis” anchor says and drops a tray in front of me. I look inside and see sharp weapons, different types of knives. “What do you want from me” I ask “you” he says and walks towards me. He lifts up my shirt and I feel sharp and severe pains on my stomach as it bleeds. “Looks pretty, you're now officially mine” he says when he's done. I want to kick him hard in the balls but I can't. Jay unlocks the chains and I drop with a heavy thud on the floor. They leave me all alone bleeding and lock the door. “Water” is the last thing I whisper before I black out.
