Chapter 9

751 Words
Alysa's POV I walk into the hallways of the school for the first time in more than a week. I was at the hospital cause I had a minor concussion and my parents suggested I stay at home for a while because the kidnappers could still be out there. When I went back home that day and told my already scared mom what happened, she almost fainted then we went to visit Dallas’ parents since I was the only witness. Dallas has been missing for more than a week now though the case has been reported to the police and they're doing everything they can to find her, I really pray nothing bad happens. I really miss her. I get lost in thought and I bumped into a hard chest. “Sorry” I say and look up to see Nicole, “hey, where's Dallas, haven't seen her in school for a while” “she….” I search for something to say “she travelled to Hawaii to visit her aunt” “really” he says not sounding a bit convinced “whatever it is I'll find out” he says and walks away. “Hey babe” I look up to see Jordan walking towards me. I rush to enter his arms, I've really missed him though he was at the hospital with me. We talk for a while before the bell rings signalling the starting of classes. * * * * I'm so weak as the chains are lifted up again. I stare at my stomach where anchor engraved his name on and I cringe. I see him walk in with the tray, as usual, and I know what's coming. I've been here for more than a week now and trust me, there's no other hell than this one. My body's been cut open severally. “Maybe this'll make your boss know the people he's messed with” anchor says and Jay laughs. I roll my eyes while they inject me with something I don't know. I think of a way out but can't do anything because there are no windows before I drift off. * * * * Nicole's POV I finish football practice and go to the locker room to change. I grab my bag and go to the park. I enter my Range Rover and play 'happier than ever’. I start driving and my mind races to Dallas and I begin to worry about her though that's what has been happening lately, she's always on my mind. I shake my head but it doesn't work, the more I try to forget her, the harder it becomes and I sweep my hand through my hair defeatedly. I park my car and get into the house. “Hey baby, you're back” I turn to see my mom “hey mom” “you look stressed out, are you okay” she says and touches my face. I see concern in her crystal blue eyes. She's too caring for her own good “don't worry mom, I'm fine” I say. “Okay, go freshen up and join us for dessert” “okay” I say and go upstairs to shower. I go to have dessert with my parents and we talk a little before going to my room. I lie on my bed and start thinking about Dallas. I think I'm losing my mind, I need to focus. 'Could something be wrong with her’ I ask myself. The door opens and my boys walk in. “Hey bro” Liam says “what crawled up your ass and died” Leo asks. “It's her, isn't it” Michel asks “ooh someone has a crush” Blake says. “I don't like her” I lie. “Come on, it's time to let go of the past besides Dallas is different from Brittany, if you like her just go for it” Liam says “even though she's very tough” he adds. That's true, she's tough but I'm ready to break down her walls. “Do you think she's okay, I mean she hasn't been in school for a while” I ask. “Maybe we could ask Roscoe, remember he goes to the same college with her brother Tyler and they're real close” Blake suggests. “Then what're we waiting for, let's go” I say and we all go out. We enter my car and off to Blake's house.
