A Fight to Finish

Chapter 14

I heave a heavy sigh as I sit on a chair. It's Sunday and my parents are out of town so I visited the gang house. We just finished selling some drugs and weapons and I'm exhausted. I see Charlie walk up to me and the only reason I don't stand up is cause I'm very tired and I did go to church today. “Hey, I'm glad you're back” he says and I don't even bother to look at him, the guy has some guts. “Look, I'm very sorry for everything I caused you and the miscarriage, I don't know what came over me and I swear if that baby had been born I'd have taken responsibility” “you realize your sorry is useless now, right” I tell him “I know it's useless but I need your forgiveness, I'm really sorry” “I'll act like I never met you, now get out of my sight” “thanks, I understand” he says and I stand up to go home. I get home, shower and take a nap.

I wake up to see it's past 6 in the evening. I decide to go to the mall to get some snacks and groceries. I grab my mom's credit card and walk to the mall. I get to the mall and pick oreos, m&m’s, gummy bears, crackers, yogurt and some groceries. Rain begins to pour outside and I wish I brought my car. I get to the counter and when it's turn to pay for my stuff, someone beats me to it. I look up to see Nicole “you didn't have to do that” I tell him “you're welcome” he says nonchalantly, “thanks I guess” I start walking out of the mall. I step outside but the rain is very heavy, I have no choice but to walk. “Where're you going” Nick asks me “home” “under the rain, are you nuts” “maybe” “get into my car” “make me” don't make me force you” “just cause you paid for my goods does not give you the right to tell me what to do” I say firmly. “Then do as you please” “I'll show you” I say in my head and start walking home. The rain's heavy but I don't budge. I see a red Ferrari pull up in front of me “get in” Nick says from inside but I don't move and he comes down “you're gonna get wet” I tell him, “Dallas for once in your life, just listen and get in” he says and the only reason I agree is cause he's under the rain too. Why do I even care, I wonder as I get into the front seat. “Why didn't you drive” he asks “don't know, just felt like walking” “and you wanna go home wet so your parents can see how crazy you are” “my parents aren't at home and won't be until Thursday” “oh” he says and keeps driving. I notice he's not taking the road that leads to my house. “Um, did you forget where my house is” I ask him and he ignores me. “Nick, where're you taking me to” he still doesn't answer, “dude, I'm talking to you” I yell. “Can you please shut up, I'm getting sick of your nagging” he says deadpan. He pulls up into the garage of his house, so this guy brought me to his house, is he okay. I get down from his car “Nicole, what is this” “what” “what am I doing here, I need to go home” “this is home, come on in” he says with a smirk that is very annoying. I guess I have no choice but to follow him. “Woah, look who's here” Liam says “hi guys” I wave to the boys. “What're you doing here” Blake asks “I think you should ask your friend Nick” I snarl. I keep the grocery bag on a chair and begin to shiver. s**t, I just caught a cold. “Let's go upstairs” Nick says and with a stern glare, I follow him.
