REDS he exhaled, the final words spreading like heat searing open the center of her body. It was nearly perfect. Every entry, poetic justice. She chugged the last of the Chianti and threw the empty glass at the wall, screaming out a lion’s roar. The bad guy did not get to keep winning. He was such a bad guy. This would not be another year of suffering. It was her year of revenge. Their year. It was midnight, but she dialed Dani’s number anyway and left a message. “I’m Sasha’s personal assistant!” she cried out with glee.
