Lyla After chasing around a bunch of wild pups, I found myself sitting at Michael’s desk. It’s funny, I used to play in this chair as a kid, and now I actually have to work. He had left the password for his computer on the screen with a note that read, ‘See you soon.’ I stared at the note as the weight of my promise —to leave so I could live—settled heavily on my shoulders.
