Jane's POV
The day wore thin and it was evening. I was done at the company and so, I packed my things to take my leave. My phone started ringing.
I stopped where my car was parked and I checked on who was calling me. ‘The police.’ I echoed slowly. ‘He must have gotten the information.’ My lips darkened with a dark smile and I picked up the call.
“Hello. What's the update?” I asked outright. I was ready to hear the good news.
“Miss Jane, I have the information of the person behind it all but it is not safe to communicate over the phone. Can we meet in a more secure space?” The police officer asked. His voice trailed off while he waited for my response.
“Okay. Meet me in my house before night falls. I am heading home now.” I responded to him slowly. My voice was rigid and calm.
