The next few days blurred together. The babies were coming home, and Jake was a nervous wreck. Ray and Cari picked up another car seat, crib, and an enormous supply of diapers. Sara received a lot of clothes at her shower, and the new aunts and uncles were dropping presents off at the house every day. It didn’t take long for Jake and Sara’s house to look like a well-stocked baby store.
Finally, the day arrived: Bradley Raymond, Kaylee Joan, and Zachary Shane were coming home. They were in excellent health despite their small size. Cari checked with Jake on what time they’d be arriving. The girls had been counting the hours and were anxious to hold their niece and nephews. Shane and Don were equally excited but didn’t say much.
