Shane was planning on taking a few days off to go to Boston with Abby. While he was gone Jake was going to step in and help out with a work crew. Although life quickly developed into a rhythm for the new parents the babies were settling into a routine and Sara’s folks were in town indefinitely. With space at a premium at Jake’s, Sara’s parents were staying at Ray’s old house. Working for his dad made Jake’s schedule flexible, so pitching in on any of the family businesses just happened. It helped Shane feel like he hadn’t dumped a lot of extra work on Don.
