I watched as her eyes darted around the room, then she shrugged. "It's not just for you, but for me as well." She said as she focused her eyes back on me. "I'm Luna and I have the duty to protect our images. Yours is already too bad to make it worse, and I can't talk trash about you even if nothing is going so rosy because I'm not being mistreated."
A lump formed in my throat, and I managed to swallow down without looking like I was close to having an internal breakdown.
"And that's what I appreciate." I said sincerely, not bothering to hide how I truly felt about it all. Getting bigger than appreciation will do nothing but pose a problem not only to her, but to me as well.
