The Human's Special Wolf

Chapter 1

Thank god it is Friday today, the day has been a complete nightmare and I can not wait to just hang with my roommates and get drunk tonight. I slept through my alarm this morning as I was up studying most of the night for today's exam. Then I went to get a shower and there was no hot water. I managed to get to campus and my exam with one minute to spare. Halfway through the exam and one of the female students started writhing in pain and complaining she was too hot. Many of the males were getting very agitated about it and a fight almost broke out when the teacher approached her to check her over, her boyfriend pinned the teacher against the wall and threatened to rip his throat out before proceeding to pick up his girlfriend and run out of the classroom with her. The exam was cancelled to be retaken at a later date and we were all dismissed.

I share this class with Joshua so we decided to go for a walk along the canal until it was time to meet up with Naomi and Jade for lunch. We sat at our usual table in the student canteen along with Joshua's best friends, Carter and Sean. Sean is Naomi's boyfriend and they are clearly in love with each other. We were all chatting and having a good time, me and Joshua doing our usual flirting and insulting each other which became a food fight. All of a sudden, he stopped and sniffed the air like a pure creep. Next thing we know, this supermodel looking girl came over to our table and the two just stood there staring at each other and drooling.

She was around 6ft with sleek black hair cut in to a bob, high cheek bones, full round lips, gorgeously green eyes an a hour glass figure.

Sean coughed and interrupted their stare off.

“Hi, I'm Mia” said the stupendously beautiful woman before me.

“Hi Mia, I’m Joshua, it’s very nice to meet you. Can I please take you for dinner this evening?”

My jaw hit the floor at that point and I stood up excusing myself, running out of the building and all the way back home.

Joshua has never paid any attention to girls, they throw themselves at him daily but he always turns them down and insists he is waiting for the one he will spend the rest of his life with. I'm jealous and heartbroken, despite our constant flirting, he has never looked at me the way he did Mia.

Soon, Naomi and Jane arrive home with chocolate and gin. These girls know me so well and I know they are just trying to ease me in to the bad news they are about to deliver.
