Chapter 6

Naomi's POV

I'm super happy that my brother has found his mate, although I am disappointed that Jasmine isn't his mate. It is blaringly obvious to everyone that they are deeply in love with each other. Me and Jade have tried getting him to explain our secret to Jasmine numerous times but he refuses. I feel that if she knew about the existence of werewolves and the mate bond, she would be able to move on and stop waiting around for my brother.

Jasmine is a beautiful girl with a generous heart, she always goes out of her way to help anyone who needs it. Boys are constantly asking her out on dates but she turns them all down no matter how much me and Jade try to coax her in to. She always makes excuses about how she is too busy with her studies and her student council duties but truthfully, she's holding out hope that my brother will one day ask her out.

I jump out of bed and get ready for the day. My mate, Sean was on border patrol last night so I haven't seen him since yesterday lunch. I've missed him terribly, it's difficult being away from your mate but I'm looking forward to having him all to myself this weekend. I walk out of my room and am greeted by Jasmine barging past me with tears streaming down her cheeks.

"Jasmine, what's happened? Is everything ok?" I shout after her but I am answered with silence.

"Great" I mumble to myself "What has my jackass of a brother done now"

I head down the hallway to find him when I hear voices in the kitchen. I walk in to see Joshua mopping the floor and Mia sat at the bar.

"Hey Joshy, do you know what's wrong with Jasmine?" I ask him and I see him tense up.

"No idea" he replies but I can see the guilt in his eyes "Anyways" he continues "this is Mia, my mate and your future Luna"

"Joshua can I please have a word with you in the other room?" I ask through gritted teeth.

"Can't it wait Naomi? I've brought Mia here to get to know you and Jade" he sighs.

"Nope" I say with a pop of the p "Its now. I have got all the time in the world to get to know Mia"

"Fine" he grumbles "I'll be right back Mia. I'm sorry Naomi isn't being polite" he looks at me pointedly. Well screw you bro, you're about to have your ass handed to ya.

We walk down to my room and I shut the door.

"What the hell do you think you're playing at bringing her here?" I whisper yell at him. Werewolves have amazing hearing and I don't want Mia to hear us.

"Watch your tone Naomi, I might be your brother but I am still your future Alpha and Mia is your future Luna. Show her bloody respect" He yells at me

"f**k you Alpha" I yell putting the emphasis on Alpha "I'm off to find Jasmine and fix your mess" and I storm out my room and throw open the front door. Turning back, I shout "I want you and your mate out of here before I bring her back home" With that, I slam the door and head for the library. Jasmine always goes to the library when she is upset.

when I get to the library, I head for her usual spot, a cozy armchair hidden at the back of the shelves and sure enough there she is curled up reading Harry Potter.

"Hey baby girl, whathca doing?" I ask her. She drops her book in her lap, looks up at me and bursts in to tears.

Ah s**t, I should have brought Jade with me, she is much better at this emotional crap than me.

I scoop her in to a big hug and she holds on to me tightly as her sobs get louder.

"What happened Jasmine? What did he do to upset you this much?"

"After he came home last night, he came in to his room and we slept together" she manages to mumble out between sobs.

"You did what? Jasmine please tell me you didn't" I can not believe my brother would do that to her and betray the mate bond.

"We did and then I woke up in my own bed this morning. I was so happy Naomi, he finally noticed me and I told him I loved him" she sniffles "and then he walked in the kitchen with Mia like last night meant nothing to him"

I am going to castrate that fucker when I see him.

"Jade, make sure my brother and his precious mate are out of that apartment now. He's proper screwed up and its about time Jasmine knew the truth" I mindlinked my cousin.
