At that moment, I was curious to know that the rebels had all gone because I was certain that they had not left with the pack members, Murphy and Jessica. But then where had they all disappeared to when the army showed up at the gate, and what if it was not Kane that had given us out but the rebels?
I stood there while they were tying the chains on my hands, staring at the pack, thinking that any of them were going to show up, but I did not see any one of them.
As the army dragged me away from the pack towards the carriage, I kept wondering if Jessica and Murphy had gone far in the woods.
