I felt a strange feeling of fear crawl into me immediately when the Baron announced that there had been another mysterious death of one of the champions. My gaze flickered to Ryan immediately, and I found him staring at me too. With the look in his eyes, I could tell that he was terrified, and so was I.
The death of the first champion was not made public, as many people were kept in the dark about it, but this one seemed to be very public, in the way Baron rushed in to report. We needed to do something, and time was running out.
