The next day I had already spoken to Murphy, and he had agreed that I was going to go away, which came to find the cave. He at first proposed that I let him go with Kane instead of going with Kane while I stayed with a pack member, but I insisted that I was going to go since that was the original arrangement. I knew he desperately wanted to keep Ryan's instruction, but at that moment that instruction was not what we were sticking by, but what was going to keep the pack members safe and also get Ryan out of the Ashmoon Pack.
