Just like I already expected, she wanted to talk about my instant refusal of Kane's idea of a place that was safe. I was staring at her in silence the whole time as she spoke as I hoped desperately that she was going to see reasons with me why we did not have to trust Kane immediately.
"Jessica, we still cannot tell for a fact if he's truly not the one that sold us out to Soldiers of Darius, and the fact that he comes here with a story does not make it true. I know that we desperately want to find a safe place so that things can move forward for us; we cannot trust someone who might come out to be a betrayer, and everything will go down to square one," I said to her with a serious look on my face haven't had a direct answer.
