Chapter Five

1154 Words
Cassandra Pov We ended up spending two days on the water and we only got back because they were so many responsibilities at the pack. This whole week we've been spending quality time together. Yesterday we went out for a picnic at a park. The day goes by fast, Dylan and I spent it doing our duties as alpha and Luna. Dawn moon pack is the largest and most powerful pack in the continent hence comes with a lot of responsibilities. It's evening already and my mate snuck me away from a group of our friends to watch a movie. We are now in a private lounge, it has a fireplace, a big screen, and two sofas, the floor is wooden and warm. " So what are we watching?" I ask, " Coming to America," he says, it's one of Dylan's favorite movies. " Yeh!" I clap my hands. My mate is lying on the couch, his head on my lap. " I've never seen this place before?" I've lived here for seven years and not once have I seen it. He looks up to me, " Well, I found it when I was ordered to stay away from you back then," he says and I frown as those memories replay in my head. We are silent as we watch, just laughing at the comedy. I sigh inwardly, tomorrow I'm leaving this pack, leaving my family to go to the rogues, my other family. I'm nervous, what if they reject me and kick me out? What if they chose Lucian over me, he's there and has grown up in the gang unlike me. " Stop," Dylan says, hearing my thoughts. " Everything will work out for the better and you will make it a real pack," " If they agree, they have never had a real anchor to connect them," Dad's rule was based on fear, I don't want it to be my legacy, I want to liberate from living on their animal instincts, teach them to tame their beast, not the other way round. Some rogues are too far gone and the only reason they are not roaming around Killing or eating flesh is that they are put in chains and locked away but once they are joined through me, their wolves will be normal. Dylan raises his arm and caresses my cheek softly, there are tingles and warmth where his fingers are trailing and I close my eyes, focusing on that. " You'll do great," he says " you have something that those who want the throne don't," " What?" I ask quietly. " You have the name Tiberius, the blood and you're their princess," I stroke his hair and bend down to kiss his lips softly. I sigh satisfied as we continue to watch, talking to Dylan is always so nice. He's encouraging and everything! ... My bags are already packed in the car that is taking me to the private hanger, Roly and Sabrina left yesterday. I'm in my son's room, talking to him, Dylan, and I agree that Kyle can't come with me until I'm settled first. " I'll miss you," I tell him. Kyle frowns. " Are you going to work, Mummy?" I nod, " But you won't see me for a few weeks," I tell him gently, Kyle is precocious and very curious. "Hmm, but why?" He squints his eyes, I kiss him between his eyes. " I need to get things in order before I can see you," I explain. " Who's going to make me a chocolate cake?" I look up to his father, who was watching us with a smile. " Dad will," I answer. Dylan's body goes rigid at once and Kyle scowls, his mouth slightly ajar, I laugh, the last time Dylan attempted to cook, he almost burnt our suite. " No, I'll just wait for you, mummy," Dylan gasps exaggeratedly, his hand on his chest. " You injure me, K," " Dada, I don't like it when you cook," I'm literally on the verge of tears as I laugh out, Dylan's expression is priceless! " Traitor," he mutters, barely audible then leaves the room. I turn to my son, his big blue eyes are brimming with tears and his lips are quivering, I pull him in an embrace and we stay for a while longer until he falls asleep. .... Three hours later I've landed and the twins have come to welcome me. I hug my friends tighter, their smiles are wide. I squint my eyes, " You dyed your hair.. again," They chuckle, I knew they couldn't have one color for a long time. " Welcome, home," Missy says. I sigh and inspect the hanger, they are a few private planes and people working, humans. " Home," I say under my breath, " The rogue's town is an hour away from the city," I nod as we get in our cars. On our way there I keep thinking about Dylan and Kyle. " Your house will be ready in three days, for now, you'll be staying at the hotel," Mira informs me, her eyes fixed on her iPad. " What else?" I ask. " In two days, you are supposed to meet with the supremacists," she says. My father's gang is huge and has branches under it, every branch has a leader, we call them supremacists. They each have to accept me as their leader and I don't want to force them, a good leader is not a dictator, my father was and I'm not him. " Mira, she needs to rest and know the place, I thought we talked about it," " The sooner she meets and gets their approval, we can get on with the coronation and become a real pack," Mira hiss. " Guys, stop. " I turn to the blonde twin and say, " she's right, the sooner, the better," The rest of the trip is silent, I'm observing the city, it's vast and beautiful, with big bridges and nice roads. Their buildings are tall and I saw a few malls along the way. " It's nothing like I expected," I confess, Missy nods. " Tiberius did wonders here," We arrive at a five-star hotel, the place is lovely and elegant, a valet opens the car door and I step out. I calmly breathe in the smell of humid air, it looks like it's about to rain soon, I wait a moment enjoying the smell and relaxation that it brings me, I listen attentively and calmly to the surrounding, I can hear the sounds of cars not far away, however, I can't help but feel eyes on me. I slowly twist my neck and look directly at piercing silver eyes, I gulp as I gaze at the man standing on top of the building and suddenly my heart speeds up, this is not a good sign.
