Pastor Dave was proud of the message he had thought of for the sign in front of Our Savior's Church. It read:
"Don't give up. Moses was once a basket case."
Dave chuckled as he finished putting the words together on the welcome sign. It had become one of his many new tasks since taking over for Pastor Stroup a few months ago. The welcome sign at the far end of the parking lot greeted both parishioners as they pulled into church and the lost masses as they whizzed past...speeding down the road to sin. Pastor Dave's background was in youth ministry - specifically teen and young adult work, but when Pastor Stroup became ill he easily fit into her role of senior pastor. He couldn't believe how quickly had risen through the ranks since moving to Des Moines from his home in Alabama.
