CHAPTER 9There was a rumble and a flash of white. Cora shook her head, realised her eyes were shut so opened them.
Before her stood a man about her own age dressed in a military styled full body suit but without any rankings showing except for a shield on his lapel with a stylised looking number 8 embossed in it.
"Are you a crew member?" Cora whispered.
"No I am Parley but appear as a hologram to make communication more natural. The shield symbol on my tunic indicates this fact." He smiled slightly. "It is usual for the captain to be awoken first, Commander Watts. Our journey was successful with no problems. Do you wish me to awaken the others or would time to study your new environment be required?"
