CHAPTER 12The flight across the mountains and beyond, confirmed what Omnia and Hershel's were expecting at their destination. The gorge through the mountains was long and winding but the road through looked well maintained. There appeared to be several roadmen's cottages every ten kilometres or so and at a halfway point a small inn had a wagon-train pulled in. Out the back a small field held several grazing dragons. They flew quite high and doubted if anyone below would be able to see them, not that it really mattered. On the eastern side of the mountain pass there were rolling hills that were covered in forest.
