"Cecilia!" Emma screamed as we entered Cecilia's office. Cecilia got up to give Emma a hug. "Emma, darling," she said. "Emma forced me to bring her," I said, and Cecilia replied, "That's the only way I get to see this pookie, and you, girl," pointing at me, "are too busy to stop by." "Cee..." as we fondly called her, "...you know the industry…" but Emma cut me off with a rude scoff. "Huh." I rolled my eyes and moved to grab a seat. "What do you want this time, busy girl?" Cecilia asked. "Well, girl, the Reeds have a party..." Cecilia's eyes brightened as she asked, "The Reeds?" "Yeah, what's it about them?" I replied nonchalantly. “Fred Reeds, the most charming man I had ever seen”, Cecilia said, and she immediately flipped. "I have an appointment with his sister at noon." Oh my gosh, it's almost noon, is my makeup good? Dress checked?” “Girl, calm down," I screamed. "You're too agitated. Don't place these people where they aren't. They are men, not demi-gods." "Now, please, can we go to the showroom and get me my outfit for the day?" I asked, Cecilia agreed, and Emma chuckled. We got to the showroom, and as usual, I didn't know which outfit to pick, so I trusted Cecilia and Emma to make the selection. We weren't halfway gone until Deli, Cecilia's secretary, came in and said, "Good day, ma'am, someone is here for you." Cecilia excused us, saying, "After you." Emma caught sight of a beautiful short rainbow dress with a matching heel, as the dress came in a set with a purse. I loved the sight of it. "Emma, this is lovely," I said. "Oh no, sis, it's breathtaking," Emma replied. Lost in our admiration, Cecilia walked in with a lady of average height and chocolate skin complexion, accompanied by a bodyguard. Cecilia coughed, and our attention was drawn to her. "Uhmm Ali, like she always calls me, this is Michelle Reeds..." Michelle cut in, saying, "No need for the intro; she should know me, and if she doesn't, that's her bad, and today happens to be her lucky day to meet me for the rest of her life." I scoffed and said, "Cecilia, can we pay for this, please?" Cecilia agreed, and we were about to walk to her office while her assistant showed Michelle around. But Immediately, Michelle called, "Cecilia, I think I need your help over here." “Really?” I asked, staring at Cecilia, I was almost pissed, but Cecilia pleaded with me, and Deli had to take me to make the payment. Just before I made the payment, I heard a commotion from inside and got concerned when I didn't see Emma beside me. I rushed back to the showroom, only to find Michelle and Emma arguing over a pair of shoes and Michelle’s bodyguard trying to take a box from Emma. “Get your hands off my sister now” I roared immediately I caught sight of them and he did. "Hey, Emma, what's going on?" I asked. "I took the pair first, but she said she wants it too," Emma said, almost tearfully. Cecilia was quiet. "When is the next stock, Cecilia?" I asked. "Next Thursday," Cecilia replied. "Emma, let her be; Cee will deliver yours next Thursday with customized jewelry, I promise. Please, let's live our name." Emma dropped the shoes and stormed out. Michelle scoffed and said, as she walked away, "I always get what I want, anyway; it's the Reeds' way." Cecilia apologized, and I headed out to make the payment. We left, and I couldn't help but think that I would be introduced to those vagabonds today as supposed potential clients and business friends. "Hell no," I said audibly. We stopped at an ice cream store to get our favorite flavors and lighten up our mood. Emma liked vanilla, while I rooted for chocolate. We got a few other girly stuff and a customized hairband for sisters and headed straight home before Dad would send parades looking for us. We got home excited and were heading upstairs when we heard Dad's voice, "How was it, ladies?" Dad asked. Emma hurried to where Dad was seated, "Isn't it obvious, daddy?" Emma said, lifting the shopping bag close to Dad's face. "Don't mind her, Dad, It was good."I said. "Was meeting Michelle part of the goodness too?," Dad asked rhetorically and smiling. Emma and I echoed, "Dad!" "She's the first granddaughter of the Reeds, she's fierce like her grandmother and cunning like her dad. The Reeds do what pleases them and get away with it. They are the most competitive and feared, leaving a scar in all the ruling powers except us, because we tread carefully and wisely. Stay away from her, Grandes are not like the Reeds." Dad said and walked away. Emma and I stood wondering for a while how a group could hold such track record of evil. I didn't know what to expect tonight, as I was sure of seeing the witch tonight with her legion of witches. "It's gonna be a long night," I said as we headed upstairs.
