I kept my eyes fixed ahead, on her fleeting figure, my chest tightening as I waited until she disappeared into the woods. My wolf howled in anguish, as if its very essence was being clawed out of me, leaving nothing but a hollow shell. It used every ounce of control I had to keep myself from transforming and chasing after her.
"Call back the rogues," I said curtly.
"Huh?" Derek asked, stunned.
"Did I stutter?" I asked coldly.
