Chapter 22
Renee changed into a sage green floral dress she found in the closet full of clothes that were now hung with Marco's. From the bathroom, she heard voices outside in the bedroom.
She slipped on sage green heels that had soles so soft it was like walking on pillows. She peeked out and saw an older man and middle-aged woman who was clearly a nurse.
She came out into the bedroom and Marco said, "Renee, this is Doctor Zane and Nurse Lara. They'll draw your blood to be sure, but they want you to go pee in the cup too."
